The clock is ticking

School's out for summer! So....the countdown is officially on! In just a few short weeks we'll be back at it again buying crayons, pencils, paper, getting my classroom re-organized again for a new set of students. I am so looking forward to a summer off to rest (minus several PD's I must attend) and take care of Miss Ady. I've been having horrible sleeping problems which I can't seem to understand. I miss the days when I could go to bed around 11 or 12 at night in the summer and sleep until 10 or 11 in the morning. Not so much now-I am up at the very latest by 6 am. No fun! If I had a baby to go rock to sleep, I wouldn't mind it. But, come on! I need to stock up on rest until she gets here!

I am so humbled and in awe every time I feel her kick. I can see it through my shirt many times, she kicks so strongly. She has set into her routine and I know mostly when she is awake and asleep. She is a night owl for sure. Let's hope when she gets here she'll soon settle into OUR schedule.

I have officially finished my registry. Whew. It was an ordeal. I ended up registering at Babies R Us, Target, and Sears. It took me forever to find a stroller set I liked. A lot of the girl things seemed a little chinsy (sp) and cheap looking to me. Butterflies and hideous flowers. I am very picky though. On another thought, I haven't liked one boy stroller/car seat either. My taste is too different, I guess. I want everything to match. But, I did find the cutest stroller/car seat, pack and play, and highchair at Sears that matches. I am in love with it! it is so so so cute and so so Ady! :)
I am still so thankful that my mom made Ady's bedding. For many reasons. One, it is so special to both my mom and Ady. There is so much talent in the Elrod/Kimbrough side of the family and I'm excited for Ady to see it and one day realize just how special it really is. Another reason goes back to my last paragraph. I despise the color purple, butterflies, tacky looking flowers, have you seen the girl bedding out there?? Ady will by far have the cutest bedding!


Well....the belly is growing! I go back to the doctor this Wednesday. I'll be 25 weeks and have an anatomy scan done. I can't believe I'm almost 2/3 of the way finished with my pregnancy. God is so good. I can not wait to hold my little sweet pea and rock her all night long. I know it will be tiring, it will be hard when I have to go back to work, but I do know that the Lord has given me this miracle and He will always provide. I have learned over the course of the past two years that nothing beautiful comes without a price tag. The road we've had to travel to get Miss Ady will have been worth every sleepless night. She is already so loved by so many. God is good and I will always give Him the praise for what HE has done. What one says is impossible, my Jesus says, "never". It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes of all time. "Science only goes so far, and then comes God." Ady will soon learn all about what that quote means :)
